Is it breakfast? Is it dessert? I’m not sure that I even care because these rich, chocolatey, lava-centred baked oats are a whole vibe.
Made using only a handful of staple ingredients you probably already have lying around, you can satisfy your sweet tooth in less than twenty minutes and without leaving the house!
Note:
This recipe uses protein powder but you can leave it out if you'd prefer. If you do, you might want to add in some extra cocoa powder and sweetener.
Ingredients
1/2 banana
40g oats
1 tbsp Cocoa powder
1 tbsp chocolate protein powder (optional)
1 tbsp smooth nut butter
100ml almond milk
1-2 squares of your favourite chocolate
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 tsp baking powder
Optional extras for the top:
Chocolate chips or extra chocolate
Pinch of sea salt
Method:
Preheat oven to 180C/ 350F/ Gas mark 4.
Blend all the ingredients except for the chocolate.
Pour the mixture into an ovenproof dish and place the chocolate in the middle of the mixture. Top with extra chocolate and a sprinkle of sea salt if desired.
Bake for 12-18 minutes - less if you want it gooey, more if you want it more like a cake.
Best eaten warm while the centre is still molten🤤
