Who else is bored of the same old Chilli con Carne recipe when they have some mince lying around🙋🏻♀️
Don’t worry though, I got you with this spicy Indian mince dish that’ll make you forget all about your Mexican go-to.
Serve with rice, naan, in a pita pocket, in a wrap, on a pizza or even on toast for breakfast (move aside baked beans).
Ingredients
500g lean beef mince or vegetarian mince of choice
15g light butter/oil/ghee
1 white onion
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp garlic paste
2 tomatoes
1- 2 red or green chillies according to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander powder
Chilli powder to taste
Salt to taste
Method
Heat butter in a large skillet and add chillies and onion.
Once they’ve softened add in the mince, garlic, ginger and spices.
Once the mince has started to brown, add in the tomatoes and simmer for ~15 minutes. If you want more sauce add about a cup of water.
Garnish with coriander and chopped chillies.
