Look no further than this amazingly simple and delicious Thai fried recipe.
It can be enjoyed as a side dish or you can add in your choice of protein for a heartier meal - chicken, prawns or tofu all work really well.
Ingredients
3 cups cooked rice, preferably cold
1/2 onion finely chopped
4 spring onions
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ginger paste
30ml soy sauce
30ml oyster sauce
15ml sesame oil
Optional: 2 eggs, beaten
Optional: Chillies
Method
In a wok or skillet heat the sesame oil on a medium-high heat.
Add in the onion, spring onions, garlic, ginger and chillies.
Once softened move to the side, add in the eggs and scramble. (Skip this step if not using eggs).
Add the rice, soy and oyster sauces.
Stir thoroughly until rice is completely coated in the sauce.
Garnish with coriander, extra chillies and lime.
Serves 4:
